WELCOME HOME The friends of Private John Ford, who has been invalided home from Egypt, filled the school last Friday to welcome him home. The evening was spent in dancing, music for which was supplied by Miss Neale and Messrs Forman and McMillan. Mr Cookson, on behalf of the residents of the district, presented the guest with a cheque and his Christmas box, which had been held back, and wished him a speedy recovery. Private Ford suitably replied.
