WEDDING

PITHIE—GLOVE-. The wedding took place at the Presbyterian Church, Geraldine, of Helen Dorothy, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs Allan Pithie, Carew, and Frederick William, younger son of Mr and Mrs F. G. Glover, Middlemarch, Central Otago. The church had been decorated with bowls of pink and blue hydrangeas by Mrs A. Pringle, aunt of the bride. The Rev. J. N. Reid, Orari, was the officiating minister and Miss E. Sherratt presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of ivory and silver French lame embossed in a rose design. Silver pleating trimmed the heart-shaped yoke and also the wrists of the high topped sleeves. A spray of orange blossom finished the neckline and covered buttons continued to the low pointed waist. The skirt was fitted to the hips and fell into graceful folds to form a long train. Her embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a coro-. net of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of cream begonias, carnations and sweet peas. As the bride was leaving the church, she was presented with a horseshoe by her small cousin, David Pringle. The bridesmaids Misses Margaret Galletly, Ngaire Pithie (sister of the bride) and Olwen Croft, were dressed alike in ivory spotted net over taffeta. Ruffles and blue flowers trimmed the necklines of the gathered bodices and the puff sleeves were composed of small frills' and frills also weighted the hems of the full skirts. Blue net sashes defined the waistlines and in their hair they wore bows of ivory net and blue flowers. Their bouquets were composed of rink begonias and carnations and blue forget-me-not. Two little flower girls, Allana Pithie (sister of the bride) and Marion Mtthieson (niece of the bridegroom), wore frocks of delphinium blue net over taffeta. In their hair they wore bows of blue net and pink flowers and carried posies of pink carnations and polyanthus roses. Messrs J. Neill, D. Peat (Middle-' march) and R. Steele (Walpahi) attended the brldegrocm. Messrs A. Pringle and I. Guild acted as ushers. The reception was held in the Presbyterian Hall, vhere Mrs °ithle received the guests. She wore a bottle green jacket suit of dull crepe, with a striped blouse of Oriental colours, and a green straw hat trimmed With flowers, which toned with her bouquet of lemon and orange abutilons. Mrs Glover, the bridegroom’s mother, wore an ensemble of naw and white patterned sheer and a wide navy hat. She carried a bouquet of red carnations and gypsophila. The bride’s grandmother, Mrs - Turton, wore a navy frock, navy edge-to-edge coat and a navy hat trimmed with cyclamen and mauve. Her spray was of cyclamen and mauve flowers. For travel'ing, the bride wore a burgundy floral frock under a torquoise wool romaine coat, a fine blue straw hat trimmed with burgundy veiling and accessories to tone. Mr and Mrs F. W. Glover’s future home will be in Middlemarch.
