PUBLIC NOTICES CANTERBURY PARK TROTTING MEETING AT CHRISTCHURCH, JANUARY 1 and 2 WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 1 CHRISTCHURCH - ASHBURTONTIMARU.—The usual 11.15 a.m. Ash-burton-Tlmaru and 11.36 a.m. TimaruAshburton trains will not run. The usual 7.5 a.m. Timaru-Christ-church (Wednesday) train will leave Timaru at 7.50 a.m.; Temuka 8.19; Orari 8.36 a.m. The usual 5.42 pm. ChristchurchTimaru (Wednesday) train will leave Christchurch at 6.5 p.m. Both trains will observe the usual stops and the usual Market Day tickets will be available for travel by these trains. Excursion tickets available for return until 3rd January will be issued to Christchurch from Timaru, Ashburton and Intermediate stations on Wednesday, January 1, also on Thursday, January 2, by trains due to arrive Christchurch up to 10.20 a.m. TIMARU SPORTS Ist JANUARY Cheap day excursion tickets will be issued to Timaru from Ashburton, Fairlie, Waimate, Oamaru and intermediate stations on Ist January by morning trains arriving Timaru up to 10.55 a.m. available for return on day of issue. These tickets are not available by mail and express trains. ASHBURTON-TIMARU. Special passenger train leaves Temuka 10.0 a.m„ Timaru arrive 10.30 am. FAIRLIE BRANCH—The usual 8.10 a.m. train for Timaru will leave Fairlie 8.30 a.m., Pleasant Point 9.36, Timaru arrive 10.11 a.m. OAMARU-TIMARU—The usual 7.25 a.m. train for Timaru will leave Oamaru at 8.40 a.m., Timaru arrive 10.36 a.m. The usual 7.20 a.m. train from Timaru for Oamaru will leave Timaru at 8.30 a.m. WAIMATE BRANCH—Special passenger train taking passengers from Waimate and St. Andrews only leaves Waimate 9.55 am.. St. Andrews 10.32, Timaru arrive 10.55 a.m. Return trains leave Timaru for— Christchurch 6.0 p.m., Ashburton 6.10 p.m., Temuka 5.30 p.m. and 6.10 p.m., Fairlie 5.45 p.m., Waimate 5.15 p.m., ©amaru 5.32 p.m. THURSDAY, JANUARY 2 TIMARU-ASHBURTON—The train usually leaving Timaru at 4.55 p.m. will leave at 5.25 p.m., Temuka 6.2, Ashburton arrive 7.41 p.m. ST. ANDREWS SPORTS, JANUARY 2 Trains for St. Andrews leave Timaru 9.20 a.m. and 12.5 p.m.; leave Oamaru at 8.53 a.m. Return trains leave for Timaru 4.50 p.m. and 7.23 p.m. and for Oamaru 6.4 pm. OAMARU RACES, JANUARY 2 Excursion tickets will be issued to Oamaru on Thursday, January 2, from Timaru, Waimate, Kurow and intermediate stations by trains arriving Oamaru up to 11.15 a.m. available for return until January 3. TIMARU-OAMARU—The usual 7.20 a.m. Tlmaru-Oamaru train will run as fast passenger leaving Timaru 9.20 a.m., St. Andrews 9.42, Makikihi 9.58, Studholme 10.16, Oamaru arrive 11.15 a.m. The usual 7.25 a.m. OamaruTimaru train will leave Oamaru at 8.53 а. Timaru arrive 11.21 a.m. The usual 4.44 p.m. Timaru-Oamaru train will leave Timaru 5.35 pm. The usual 4.15 p.m. Oamaru-Timaru train will run as fast passenger leaving Oamaru 5.53 p.m., Racecourse 6.1, Studholme б. NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO TRAIN SERVICE, SUNDAY, JANUARY 5 CHRISTCHURCH-DUNEDIN— Express train leaves Christchurch 8.35 a.m. for Dunedin and Express train leaves Dunedin 11.35 a.m. for Lyttelton. Connect at Studholme with bus to and from Waimate. CHRISTCHURCH-TIMARU The usual Sunday train service between Christchurch and Timaru will be suspended and trains will run as under: Tima.ru depart 7.55 a.m. and 9.0 a.m., Christchurch arrive 11.35 a.m. and 12.33 p.m. Return train leaves Christchurch 5.52 p.m., Timaru arrive 9.36 p.m. Christchurch depart 7.30 a.m. and 9.0 am., Timaru arrive 11.7 a.m. and 12.3 p.m. Return trains leave Timaru 4.45 pm. and 5.55 p.m., Christchurch arrive 8.29 p.m. and 9.1 pm.
