BURNSIDE SALE CHRISTMAS MARKET By Telegraph—Press Assocta’lon DUNEDIN, December 19. The treble market at Bumside attracted good entries in all the major sections. Fat lambs—The entry of 3535 sold at 18/- to 29/9. Fat sheep—The 2483 head yarded met with an erratic sale. Heavy ewes were 2/- to 3/- cheaper and wethers 2/-. Wethers made 30/- to 36/-, medium 24/- to 28/-, light from 20/-, prime ewes 21/- to 27/6, medium 16/- to 20/-, light from 12/-. Fat cattle—The yarding was barely sufficient for requirements and prices appreciated £1 a head. Prime steers made £l7/17/6 to £2l/7/6, medium £l4/12/6 to £l6, light from £l2/7/6, prime cows and heifers £l2/7/6 to £l6/7/6, medium £9/2/6 to £lO/17/6, light from £7. Pigs—The yarding of 282 fat pigs sold at 5/- to 8/- a head cheaper than last week.
