Mr Ward Price, the correspondent of the “Daily Mail” in a cautious approach to General Sir Archibald Wavell's brilliant victory, said it is the turning point in the war only in the sense that it promises to turn back the Mediterranean situation to where it was before Italy entered the war. He adds that the victories in Greece and Africa bar Hitler’s road to the Mediterranean. Turkey, which might only have fought defensively is now almost certain w'-.en ready to take an active part in the war on out side.
