SHAREHOLDERS GET NOTHING

Exhibition Company By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, December 18. A decision voluntarily to wind up the New Zealand Centennial Exhibition Company, Ltd., was reached at the fourth ordinary general meeting of shareholders to-day. The chairman of Directors, Mr T. C. A. Hislop, said he could see no monetary return for shareholders. A letter was read from the Hon. W. Nash stating that the Government would like to help the smaller shareholders by making them some return of capital, but further consideration had shown that this proposal was fraught with difficulties and anomalies which it did not appear possible to avoid.

Mr L. C. Forgle, secretary of the Company, was appointed liquidator, and the directors were authorised to continue to act in the negotiations with the Government for the taking over of the assets.
