The bale price compares with an average of £l6/18/8 for the whole of last season. The offering realised a total of £44,328. DIVIDENDS DECLARED By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, November 21. The E.S. and A. Bank has declared a dividend of 3i per cent payable on December 19. N.Z. Breweries Ltd. has declared an interim dividend of 3i per cent.

RABBITSKIN SALE BETTER GRADES CHEAPER At the Dunedin rabbitskin sale on Tuesday a total quantity of 14 tons was brought forward to a good attendance of buyers. Good orders were on the market, all sections of the trade being interested. Values for hatters’ descriptions showed little change, but the better grades ruled lower and, on the average, prices were par to 3d lower. A few small parcels of winters were included in the catalogues and elicited keen competition. Winter bucks sold to 93id, 2nd bucks to 881 d, winter does 76id, and 2nd does to 681 d. PRODUCE MARKET OATS IN DEMAND A and B Garton oats are still in demand on the South Canterbury grain and produce market. A’s are quoted at 4/- a bushel on trucks and B’s at 0/9. Odd inquiries have been received for Duns at 4/6 a bushel on trucks for dark heavy quality. Chaff Chaff remains unchanged at £4/17/6 a ton on trucks. Peas There has been no alteration in the quotations for peas which remain at 6/6 a bushel on trucks. Potatoes New potatoes from the North Island are now coming freely on to the market. Supplies have been available on the local market for the last fortnight. The only demand for old potatoes is for local orders. Seeds Further Government inquiries have been received for seeds which should help to dispose of a considerable quantity of certified seeds provided high germination is insisted upon. Seeds remain at last week’s prices as follow: Pedigree ryegrass 24/-a bushel; mother ryegrass 14/6 a bushel; commercial ryegrass 13/-; white clover 2/8 a lb, Montgomery (permanent pasture), 3/1; cowgrass farmers’ dressed 1/1, Italian ryegrass machine dressed 8/3 a bushel.
