U.S. Gift To British Warship By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received November 21, 7.20 p.m.) WASHINGTON, November 21. The Secretary of the Navy (Colonel Frank Knox) sent the first Lord of the Admiralty (Mr A. V. Alexander) a photograph of Abraham Lincoln for hanging in the wardroom of H.M S. Lincoln. Colonel Knox, in a letter, said the naming of the warship Lincoln was appropriate because Britain at present was defending the principles for which Lincoln stood.
