FAIRIVEW At the November meeting of the Fair view Women’s Institute, Mrs T. Butchers Presided. Mrs Jarvis was the winner of the wandering shilling competition. For her demonstration of making Christmas gifts, Mrs Shaw had a large and varied collection of gifts and passed on many new ideas. The competitions resulted as follows: Article from felt, Mrs Shaw 1, Mrs Raddon 2, Mrs Shewan and Miss R. Butchers (equal) 3. Wheatmeal scones, Mrs Jackson 1, Mrs Raddon 2, Mrs Shewan and Mrs W. Butchers (equal) 3. Premier bloom (large), Mrs Jackson 1, Mrs T. Butchers 2, Mrs W. Butchers and Mrs Campbell (equal) 3; (small), Miss Mercer 1, Miss Campbell 2, Miss R. Butchers 3.
