BUILDING CONTROL

REGULATIONS BEING FRAMED By Telegraph—Press Association MASTERTON, November 19. It is understood that regulations are being framed to regulate building of all kinds throughout New Zealand. The proposed regulations provide for all applications for the erection of a building at an estimated cost exceeding £2OOO, or for the erection of structures which will require half a ton of reinforced steel or more, to be submitted by the local bodies receiving the applications to the Building Controller. No permit is to be issued by the local body unless the permission of the Building Controller is granted. Further it is proposed that a return be furnished on the first of each month by every local body in New Zealand, setting’ out the details of all building permits granted in the preceding month.
