Boys’ And Girls’ Life Brigades Presentation Of Awards The members of the 3rd Timaru Company of the Boys’ Brigade were the guests of the 3rd Timaru Company of the Girls’ Life Brigade at their first birthday tea held in the Trinity Church Hall on Friday. During the tea Mrs Wilkinson cut the cake on behalf of the governing committee of the company. After tea awards earned during the year by members of each of the companies were presented by Mrs Wilkinson, and several new members of the Girls’ Life Brigade were enrolled by Captain G. Silcock, Commandant of the South Canterbury Battalion of the Girls’ Life Brigade. The Boys’ Brigade under the command of . Captain R. Green was inspected during the evening by Major G. H. Ferguson and the Girls’ Life Brigade, under Captain M. M. Ferguson and Lieutenants J. Campbell and L. Ferguson were inspected by Commandant G. Silcock. Mr L. A. Waters, Officer Commanding the Boys' Brigade in South Canterbury, congratulated the boys on their general efficiency and the Rev. F. H. Wilkinson spoke a few words to both companies. During the proceedings items were given by Marie Keene, Betty Currie and Dawn Neilson. Awards were presented as follows: Drill—One year badges: W. Begg, J. Ormiston, J. Smith, D. Finch, R. C.
