WEDDING
CURTIS—CURTIS The marriage was solemnised at Knox Presbyterian Church, Waimate, of Janet Mona, eldest daughter of Mr A. Curtis, of Fairlie, and the late Mrs Curtis, and Charles George Morven, youngest son of Mr G. H. Curtis, Willowbridge, and the late Mrs Curtis. The Rev. F. Sutherland officiated at the ceremony and Miss O. Cameron presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore an Air Force blue travelling costume with blue straw hat to match and carried a bouquet of yellow polyanthus, orange blossom and maidenhair fern. She was attended by her sister, Miss Rona Curtis, who was attired in a navy blue costume and hat to match, and carried a posy of pink tulips. Mr Alex Richmond acted as best man. At the reception, the guests were received by Mrs R. S. Geddes, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a wine coloured costume, and hat to match and carried a posy of freesias. Assisting her was Mrs Brooks, who was attired in a navy costume and hat to match and carried a posy of pink tulips.
