Police Commissioner Dead
The Acting Commissioner of New South Wales Police, Mr Frederick James Collings, died suddenly, aged 59. He was regarded as one of the most able men in the police force and was closely identified with the organisation of the police on an emergency war basis. U.S. Move Against Bridges The United States House has tentatively approved the Wagner Act amendment permitting employers to refuse to negotiate with aliens. Apparently this is aimed at Harry Bridges.
