INCREASED OUTPUT
WEST COAST COAL MINES By Telegraph Press Association GREYMOUTH, May 7. In response to the appeal by the Minister of Mines (the Hon. P. C Webb) for increased coal production, it is shown in figures that coal exported from Greymouth for a fourweekly period to the end of Ap- 1 totals 17,154 tons, representing an increase of 5229 tons or 44 per cent, m comparison with the same period last year. Except for one co-operative mine, every mine in the district showed a substantial increase in output.
