SHIPPING PORT OF TIMARU

Rain Causes Delays Coastal shipping has been further delayed as a result of the wet weather and there were no arrivals at the Port of Tlmaru yesterday. Expected to-morrow are the Holmdale and Holmglen from Dunedin and the Waiplata and Gale from Oamaru. The following list of coastal steamers’ movements is compiled in accordance with advice supplied by agents for the different lines:— EXPECTED ARRIVALS

COASTAL VESSELS Listed Movements The Holmglen is due to-morrow to load cargo for Wellington. New Ply-r mouth and Waikato.

The Waipiata, from Oamaru, Is due to-morrow, to load for Wellington and Auckland, via Lytteton. She wiil sail on Thursday.

The Holmdale is due from Dunedin to-morrow to load Wellington, Plcton and Wanganui cargo via Lyttelton. For Wellington, Picton and Wanganui loading, the Gale will arrive on May 9. Now scheduled to arrive on Friday, the Karu will load for Wellington. Nelson and New Plymouth. On Friday, the Port Waikato will arrive from Dunedin to load general cargo for Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarel via Lyttelton. The Breeze for Wellington and Wanganui loading will arrive on Tuesday. Due on May 14, the Wainui will take cargo for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne.

The Walmarino is due about May 14 from Bluff. After loading for Wellington and Auckland she will sail for Lyttelton. From Westport and Lyttelton, the Kiwitea is due about May 14 to discharge. For Wellington, Picton and Wanganui loading the Storm will berth on May 15. The Walana will call from Bluff on May 22 and will load for Wellington, via Lyttelton. NEW ZEALAND PORTS By Telegraph-Press Association WELLINGTON, May 7. Arrived—Storm (6.55 a.m.) from Wanganui. Sailed—Storm (6.15 p.m.) for Dunedin, Port Waikato (9 p.m.) for Lyttelton. LYTTELTON, May 7. Sailed—Wainui (4.55 p.m.) for Wellington. OVERSEAS MAILS (OUTWARD) Australian States and countries via Australia, close at 3.30 a.m. Monday, May 13, 1940.
