AIR FORCE LOSSES
New Zealand Casualties Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, May 3. The following Air Force casualties are officially announced:— Pilot-Officer Kenneth Neil Gray. D.F.C., killed in a flying accident on May. 1. He was a son of Mi R. L. Gray, Gisborne. Pilot-Officer Gray won he D.F.C. > January 7 for gallantry against the enemy. Pilot-Officer John Martin Gilmer, dangerously injured in air operations on May 1. He is a son of Mr N. Gilmer, of Omata, New Plymouth. A later message states that Pilot-Officer Gilmer’s injured proved fatal. Died of sickness Tire following casualty to the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force has been officially reported:— Private William Frew, of 20th. Battalion (Canterbury-Otago), 4th Ne~ Zealand Infantry Brigade, died of sickness on April 30. His next of kin is C. E. Frew, cf Fortrose, Southland.
