NO CROSSBRED FOR NEUTRALS

Allies Require Full Supplies Of Wool United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 5. 11.0 p.m.) SYDNEY. March 5. No crossbred wool bought by Britain from Australia is available for neutral countries, said Dr Clunies Ross, Australian representative on the International Wool Secretariat at London, who arrived by flying-boat and who is now attending a conference of the Australian Woolgrowers’ Council at Sydney. He declared that the fact that raw wool is severely limited in resale to neutrals is intensifying agitation among growers for a review of conditions under which Britain bought the Australian clip for the duration of the war and 12 months thereafter. He added that Britain and France required all crossbred purchased from Australia and New Zealand, causing a definite shortage for neutrals.
