TO-DAY’S RECIPE
* ALMOND CRISPS £ t 1 cup butter, 2 eggs, J lemon, * X 1 egg white, 1 cup castor sugar, X * Boz almonds, half an orange, <• X flour as required. Beat butter t 4> to a cream with the sugar. Add * blanched and ground nuts and X eggs well beaten, then juice of X orange and lemon and grated >:• * rind of the orange. Stir in X X enough flour to make a stiff X * dough. Roll out thinly; cut * X into fingers, brush with white * X of egg and sprinkle with castor T sugar. Bake in a moderate * X oven for about 5 minutes. X
