Three Children Burned to Death
Making an early morning discovery that the living-room was ablaze, Mrs Walker, of Battersea, rushed out to warn her neighbours. The front door slammed and she was unable to reenter the house. Her three children, including a baby six months old, were burnt to death. Mrs Walker’s husband was away, being engaged in war work.
