LAST RITES

FUNERAL OF MR J. GILBERT The funeral of the late Mr John Gilbert, Timaru, took place on Monday afternoon at the East Taieri Cemetery An impressive service was conducted at the chapel and afterwards at the graveside by the Rev. Leslie Neale oi Dunedin. The great esteem in which the deceased was held was testified to bv the number of friends who came long distances to attend. The pallbearers were:—Cyril Gilbert (son), Clarence McPhee (nephew), Wilfred McPhee (nephew), A Doig (Oamaru). W. Scott (Timaru) and T. Grant (Dunedin).
