SHIPPING PORT OF TIMARU

Kartigi and Holmdale Load Four Vessels Due To-day Two vessels worked at the Port of Timaru yesterday, both having arrived on Tuesday night and having remained overnight. The Kartigi loaded for Auckland and sailed in the afternoon for Lyttelton. The Holmdale arrived on Tuesday night when rain prevented work on her, and she loaded yesterday for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui, before sailing for Lyttelton.

Four vessels due to-day will make the port busier than usual. The Port Whangarei will load for Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato Heads, and the Wainui for Napier and Gisborne only. The Waiana will . call from Bluff and will load for Wellington and Auckland, while the Gale, from Dunedin, will load for Wellington and Wanganui. AU the four will sail later for Lyttelton. DEPARTURES February 7 Kartigi, s.s., 2347 tons (Ritchie) for Lyttelton. (Union S.S. Co.). Holmdale, m.v., 681 tons (Copland) for Lyttelton. (H. J. R. Somerville and Co., agents). The Breeze is due on Sunday from Dunedin to load on Monday for Wellington and Wanganui, via Lyttelton. The Waipiata is due on Monday to load for WeUington and Auckland, via Lyttelton. Due from Dunedin on Tuesday, the Storm will load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. The Karu is due back at Timaru on February 15 to load again for Wellington, Nelson end New Plymouth.
