SHIPPING PORT OF TIMARU
Increased Activity Four Vessels To Work To-day Increased activity is evident at the Port of Timaru, two coastal vessels working yesterday and three more being due to-day. Yesterday the Waipiata, which remained in port over Monday night, loaded for Wellington and Auckland and sailed for Lyttelton. In the evening the Karu arrived from Oamaru and commenced loading for Wellington. Nelson and New Plymouth. She will complete to-day and sail for Lyttelton. Arrivals scheduled for to-day are the Gale and the Holmdale, from Dunedin, and the Wainui from Oamaru, all three sailing later for Lyttelton. The Gale will load for Wellington and Wanganui and the Holmdale for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. The Wainui will load for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. ARRIVAL January 23 Karu. m.v., 1044 tons 'Warwick) from Oamaru (Union S.S. Co.). DEPARTURE January 23 Waipiata, s.s., 2826 tons (A. H. Howie) for Lyttelton (Union S.S. Co.).
