LIQUOR ILLEGALLY SOLD By Telegraph—Press Association ASHBURTON, January 19. A raid by a party of police on premises In Havelock Street late on the night of December 9 led to the appearance of George Clarence William Rooke in the Ashburton Magistrate's Court this morning on two charges of having sold liquor without having a licence to do so. Through Mr R. Kennedy, accused pleaded guilty to both charges and was fined £lO, with 10/- costs, on each charge.
