NUDIST PARTY
PAPER HATS WERE ALL THEY WORE (Special—By Air Mall) LONDON, December 23. A nudist party held in London this week included guests from South Africa, India and Malaya. It was attended by soldiers, sailors and airmen on leave; others who left service uniforms in the cloak-room were members of women’s organisations such as the W.A.A.F. and the W.A.T.S. Carnival paper hats were worn as a concession to the season and an occasional bangle, necklace or wristwatch was to be seen. Otherwise the 150 men. women and children were completely naked. “We have always had very keen members among the Sendees” Mrs Marian Lili, secretary of the National Sun and Air Association, who gave the party, said this week. “What do I think of the moral effect of nudism? It does away with a great deal of hypocrisy. Before the war men outnumbered the women, but now the numbers are very much more equal.”
