BRITAIN’S ARMY GIRLS It is good-bye to slimming for the girl who “joins up’’ in Britain to-day. Those in the W.A.A.F. or the ATS. are putting on weight. Here are a typical day’s meals taken from the diet sheets:— Breakfast.—Fried bacon and eggs, bread, margarine, tea. Dinner.—Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, potatoes, greens, steamed lemon pudding, brown and white bread. Tea. —Sardines, bread, butter, jam, cake, tea. Supper.—Curried eggs, bread and margarine, cocoa or coffee. "The meals are all based on the scientific needs of the girls.” a messing officer in the A.T.s. declared.
