On Saturday afternoon Miss Lorraine Amyes, Bidwill Street, entertained a few friends in honour of Miss June Robertson whose marriage will take place next month. Each guest brought a gift for the pantry and also a new recipe. Miss Amyes received her guests wearing a frock of pale pink silk cloque. Miss Robertson wore a frock of figured marocain with navy coat and hat. Other guests included Mesdames R. Anderson, W. Renton. T. C. Morrison, M. Walker, Misses Enid Patchett, Isobel Duncan, Violet Chamberlain and Shirley Amyes. A competition was won by Mrs W. Renton.
