FIRE AT STOCKTON By Telegraph Press AssnrHHon WESTPORT, January 13. The well-known grocery and hardware store, owned by Mr Robert Forester Thompson, at Stockton, was completely destroyed by fire early this morning. When the fire was noticed by a resident, who was awakened by a crackling noise, the building was well ablaze, with no hope of saving anything. Mr Thompson resides at Ngakawau. The estimated loss is £1306. The building was insured for £250. and the contents for £4OO.
