HILL-CLIMBING CONTEST By Telegraph —Press Association HAMILTON, December 18. In the New Zealand hill climbing championship at Taowhare on Sunday the championship event resulted: Gordon Bell (Cambridge) 1, A. Harp (Hamilton) 2, J. Waters (Hamilton) 3. Bell’s time, 17 l-ssec, equalled the record set up by H. Maxwell (Auckland) 11 years ago. Later Harp was clocked at 16 4-ssec, a new record for the hill, which is always used for New Zealand championships.
