The British tanker Athel Templar, of 893 J tens, was seriously damaged by enemy action off the east coast yesterday. It is believed the crew was taken on another vessel. A message from Hamburg states that the Prize Court ordered the confiscation of two seized Swedish ships and ruled all paper pulp as contraband. An expert gave evidence that Germany used paper wrapping for the explosive inside shells and he believed that the British used similar wrappings. The Japanese freighter Sanyo Maru has sailed from Rotterdam with a cargo of German potash and machinery.
