Tiie Dusseldorf. 4930 tons, has sailed from Valparaiso. and the liner Columbus, of 32.581 tons, obtained a clearance from Vera Cruz and shifted her anchorage to a vantage point from which she is expected to try to make a dash to sea. The Mexico City correspondent of the “New York Times” states that the Columbus, carrying 25.000 barrels of oil, is reported to be supplied with special equipment for refuelling submarines and also has 4-inch guns which she can mount at sea.
