WEATHER FOR NOVEMBER The rainfall registered at “Woodside” during November was as follows: Ist 17 points, 10th 1 point, 13th 2 points, 17th 2 points, 22nd 30 points, 23rd 24 points, 24th 11 points, 25th 5 points, 26th 10 points, 29th 2 points; total 1.04 inches. The rainfall to date is 16.18 inches, compared with 37.54 inches for the same period last year. The country is very dry and the I farmers would welcome rain to give the 1 root crops a start. It would also greatly benefit grain crops. On the other hand shearing has been in progress with no stoppages with broken weather. AGRICULTURAL CLUB In connection with the agricultural club, a number of the children have again taken a keen interest in their home garden plots. Unfortunately the dry weather was responsible for failure in some cases but several of the children are to be congratulated on their work. PERSONAL Mr and Mrs A. Donnithome and family have left for Nelson, where they intend to reside for the present. Miss Dorothy Tindall, Wellington, is on a visit to her mother, Mrs T. Tindall.
