FINE SPIRIT OF TROOPS

High Praise From War Minister British Official Wireless RUGBY, November 19. Before leaving the front, the Minister of War (Mr L. Hore Belisha) said: “The men of the British Expeditionary Force are all cheerful. Their health is good, and I am confident that we are winning the war comfortably.” Mr Hore Belisha, who spent practically all the hours of daylight yesterday visiting various sectors of the British line, went to-day into the French area. Before he returns to England, it is reported, he will see the French Prime Minister (M. Daladier) and will visit the headquarters of General Gamelln.

Mr Hore Belisha said: "The spirit of the troops is noteworthy. I have been impressed with the efficiency of the administration arrangements. I think the lessons of the last war have been put to very good profit. Transport, which broke down in the last war, has been exceptionally well run. The general smoothness with which everything is running is most satisfactory. Activity on our section of the front also impressed me.”
