NEW ZEALAND PILOTS FOR EGYPT

United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 17, 1.17 a.m.) LONDON, November 16. It is officially stated that many Australian and New Zealand pilots will shortly undergo training in Egypt where the climate is exceptionally favourable. This follows the Empire-wide extension of the Royal Air Force training scheme apart from the main centre in Canada, where 2000 recruits will presently begin training with a waiting list of 10,000 to 15,000. Training stations will also be opened in India, where the princes have given large sums for the development of the air defences. Pilots are also being instructed In Iraq where fuel is immediately available.
