SENSATIONAL FRENCH REPORT
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright (Rec. Nov. 17, 1.10 a.m.) PARIS, November 16. “Le Journal” publishes a sensational but quite unconfirmed report that von Ribbentrop is shortly retiring as a result of pressure by the Army, which believes that the Nazis have fulfilled their mission of making Germany the dominant Power in Europe and should be replaced by a saner type of Government. The Army’s programme aims at compromising with the Allies by allowing them the independence of Bohemia, Moravia, Slovakia and Poland, but retaining Sudetenland and Austria. “Le Journal” suggests that either Goering, von Neurath or Bohle will succeed von Ribbentrop. a •J* •»’ *♦* *♦* 4* ***•♦* *£• ♦!« ♦** 4* 4* 4*
