WEATHER SOUTH CANTERBURY FORECAST
FAIR TO FINE Spacial to "The Timaru Herald," WELLINGTON, July 10 Winds—Light to moderate southerly winds, veering at. times to westerly. Weather—Some scattered showers, but otherwise the weather fair to flue with milder day but cold night temperatures. Seas—Slight with a moderate southerly swell. DOMINION FORECAST General Situation An anti-cyclone covers the Tasman Sea and extends on to New Zealand, but pressure is falling again over South-Eastern Australia. Forecast Winds—Light to moderate and variable. with south-westerly predominating, but turning at times to westerly or north-westerly and freshening slightly. Seas i New Zealand waters)—Slight with a moderate southerly swell. Eastern Tasman Sea—Light and variable winds, later tending northerly; seas slight with a moderate but decreasing southerly swell. Weather —Some isolated showers on the east coast and in the far south, but the weather otherwise fine with cool temperatures and hard frosts tonight; temperatures milder to-morrow.
