DRIVER KILLED

CAR PLUNGES DOWN BANK By Telegraph—Press Association NAPIER, June 23. The death of Malcolm Stewart Aimer, of Remuera, Auckland, car driver, was the subject of an inquest when a verdict was returned that death was due to a fracture of the skull, caused by a car going over a bank. Evidence revealed that Aimer's car failed to negotiate completely a bend on the Napier-Taupo road near Tarawera. A gold wrist watch the deceased was wearing stopped at 5.15 a.m., and this was taken to indicate the probable time of the fatality. There were no eye-witnesses of the car’s plunge down the bank.
