MAY BE REVOKED

LICENSES OF ACCIDENT-PRONE DRIVERS

By Telegraph—Press Assoclanon WELLINGTON, June 22.

How accident-prone drivers will be liable to lose their licenses if the Transport Bill is passed during the forthcoming session of Parliament was indicated at a meeting of the New Zealand Road Safety Council when certain provisions of the Bill were laid before the meeting by the Minister of Transport (the Hon. R. Semple). The Minister said that the Bill would provide that licenses of accident-prone drivers—drivers who could never learn to become safe or efficient drivers—could be revoked by the Commissioner of Transport, subject to the right of appeal to the Courts, if such a revocation was necessary in the public interest.
