WOMEN’S DIVISION

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE The monthly meeting of the South Canterbury Executive of the Women's Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union was held in the Foresters’ Hall, Timaru, when Mrs W. Buchan presided over a large attendance of delegates. South Canterbury remits for the Dominion Conference in Wellington were discussed. Arrangements have now been completed for two rest homes in Timaru for members of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. The appointed guest houses are under the management of Mrs Pye, Evans Street, and Miss Black, Beverley Hill. Delegates reported that members of the various branches were collecting goods for the display of Arts end Crafts at the Country Women’s Section of the Centennial Exhibition in Wellington next January.
