TERM NEARING END

GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S STATEMENT By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, June 2. Mention that he did not expect to be in New Zealand this time next year was made by the Governor-General Viscount Galway when speaking at the annual prize night of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron. His Excellency said that it was the last time that he would be able to attend as patron the Squadron’s prizegiving, as his term as Govenor-Gehettl

was nearing an end. Next year he expected to be in England again, but for the rest of his life his recollections

would be tinged with the very pleasantest of memories of New Zealand. Particularly would he remember the yachting fraternity of Auckland.
