MAIDEN FLIGHT FROM SOUTHAMPTON WILL VISIT NEW ZEALAND SHORTLY United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright Independent Cable Service (Received June 1, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 31. The trans-Tasman flying-boat Aotearoa takes off on her maiden passenger flight from Southampton this afternoon, taking 15 other representatives of Australia and New Zealand on a tour of the South Coast. The ’plane will be piloted by Captain John Burgess, who is a New Zealander. Imperial Airways state that the Aotearoa will go to New Zealand at the end of June.
