The fortnightly meeting of the Timaru Business and Professional Women’s Club was he'd on Monday evening in the Y.W.C.A. Clubrooms. There was a good attendance of members. It was agreed that the president and secretary represent Timaru on the Dominion Council. The speaker for the evening was Miss 1). Am' ~ cf Albury. who recently returned after nearly two years abroad. I’ ; ::bjc<T. was “Italy as Seen by a Tourist,” r hich proved to be a most inl.ei ling end instructive address. Many beautiful pieces of Venetian glass, cameos, pottery wale and other curios were d’ Tiycd.
