H. Allchurch and Co. insert a reminder of the sale of freehold property, superior household furniture, etc., which they are selling to-day at No. 104 Wai-iti Road on behalf of the trustee of the will of the late Joseph Boyd. The sale will commence at 1 o’clock with outside articles. The property will be sold at 1.30 p.m., and the furniture immediately after. Further particulars will be seen in the auction column.
The South Canterbury Women’s Hockey Association will conduct a tournament dance in the Scottish Hall on Monday (King’s Birthday) night.
On Monday night a grand carnival dance will be held in St. Patrick's Hall. Hec Macdonald and his swing band will play modern and old-time music. Supper will be provided.
The popular weekly card and dance evening will be held at the Main School to-night.
