BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL CONCERT

The Boys’ High School will present to-night and to-morrow in the Theatre Royal, a concert that will be even better than last year's effort. Short, bright items in the first half will whet the appetite of even the most jaded concertgoer for the second half, which is given over to “Les Cloches de Corneville.” When produced by amateur organisations in Timaru in 1904 and 1924, this comic opera, with its spirited action, lively dialogue and tuneful songs made so great an appeal that many will welcome the opportunity of renewing their acquaintance with it. Some condensation has been necessary, but there is no loss in interest or continuity. Patrons are assured of a good night's entertainment.
