“TREAT DOCTORS AS STRIKERS”
HAWKE’S BAY RESOLUTION By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, May 10. The New Zealand Federation of Electricians’ Association advises that the motion accredited to the Hawke’s Bay branch of the Electrical Workers Association, which was reported to have urged the Government, “to take a stand and treat the British Medical Association in the same manner as strikers in any other industry,” was not carried by the Hawke's Bay branch. It is stated that at no time has the Hawke’s Bay branch of the New Zealand Federation of Electricians’ Association discussed or passed any motion dealing with the dispute between the Government and the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association. The organisation is said to be strictly non-political and in no way connected with the body referred to in the recent message from Hastings.
