OTAGO DOG SHOW

SOUTH CANTERBURY SUCCESSES

The following South Canterbury dogs secured awards at the Otago Kennel Club’s sixth annual show held in Dunedin on Saturday, April 15. Toy Dog Class: Mr Geo. Lane's Pomeranians, four firsts and one third. Terrier Classes: Mr lan King’s Scotties, four firsts and special; Mr J. Stewart’s smooth fox, two firsts, one second, and special; Mrs J. A. Fraser (Fairtie) Scotties, three firsts and spe • cial; Mr J. McDonald’s West Highland (whites), 12 firsts and one second; Mr Robt. Street’s Cairn, one first and one second; Miss I. M. Grant, Sealyham, one first.

Non-Sporting: Miss K. A. Hudson Chow Chow, four firsts; Miss L. Greig'Alsatians, five firsts and one third.

Sporting: Mrs B. A. Chalmers, Labrador pups, three firsts, one second and special; Mr J. S. Lawrie’s Labrador, three firsts, one second and special; Mr W. Jack’s Pointer, one first. Mr H. Hinchcliff, of Wellington, judged all the breeds. There was keen competition in all classes with large entries in both breed and stakes sections.

South Canterbury did exceptionaliv well to secure so many awards.
