DOMINION AWARD MADE By Teleerapn—htcsp association CHRISTCHURCH, April 18. A 40-hour five-day week and a minimum wage of 2/61 for males is provided for in the new Dominion footwear manufacturing industry’s award which was agreed to in a Conciliation Council this morning. The minimum rate for females of more than five years’ experience is £2 17s 6d weekly. Wages are retrospective to April 3, and the award will continue for a year.
