“The Duchess of Kent outstars all Hollywood’s beauties. She has exquisite beauty, adoration, position, a son and heir. No girl or woman could ask more,” said the famous Hollywood dietitian, Dr Gaylord Hauser, after meeting the Duke and Duchess. Dr Hauser, who will shortly leave for Australia on a lecture tour, says the British people have a low estimate of what health should be. When asked how they feel, they say “Fine,” but they suffer from
rheumatism in the winter, hay fever in the summer and headaches in the rest of the year. Dr Hauser’s motto is: “Eat what you need, then what you want.” For good complexions he advises sulphur foods such as raw tomatoes, onions, celery and sprouts.
