THEFT ABOARD SHIP By lelewraph—Association WELLINGTON, March 20 Frank William Chalmers, aged 17, and Jack Bonny aged 19, former members of the crew of the Strathallan were given 18 months’ probation to-day, on a theft charge involving jewellery and other goods from that vessel. They will remain under the control of the Salvation Army until they get work and a passage out of the country. It was stated that the company had promised them a passage back to England as soon as room was available on an outgoing ship.
