BEAUTIFUL GOWNS WORN BY LORETTA YOUNG IN “SUEZ”

Though motion picture patrons and particularly the fm ! ine jntingent, are perhaps not so easily thrilled as formerly by screen fashions, the clothes worn by Miss Young is “Suez" are bound to arouse the admiration and envy of every woman who sees them.

If there is one actress upon whom studio executives like to lavish clothes, it is Loretta Young. Often referred to as ttie best-dressed woman in Hollywood, the lovely 20th CenturyFox star is every fashion designer's dream of the perfect mannequin.

The magnificent tiara which she wears in one scene of the picture was four months in the making. The gold band is studded with pearls and rubies. Another item In her wardrobe which called for a generous penny is a velvet coat trimmed with sable and embroidered with gold thread. Some of Miss Young’s gowns ran into hundreds of yards of material for a single costume, since the apparel of that day billowed over enormous hoop skirts, in all, the studio provided 18 gowns for Miss Young in “Suez.” The co-stars of Loretta Young are Tyrone Power and Annabella. Others comprising the supporting cast are J. Edward Bromberg. Joseph Schildkraut, Henry Stephenson, Sidney Blackmer, Maurice Moscovich, Sig Humana, Nigel Bruce and Miles Mander.
