SOUTH AFRICAN FRUIT Deciduous fruit to the value of £60,000 will leave Capetown docks within the next few months for Germany, as the result of a contract signed by the Deciduous fruit to the value of £60,000 will leave Capetown docks within the next few months for Germany, as the result of a contract signed by the Deciduous Fruit Exchange. The shipment will make up the largest quantity ever sent to Germany in one year, and the contract is the direct result of the recent trade agreement with Germany. In addition the exchange is making every effort to open the American market for direct shipments. Tire Union Government is seriously considering the advisability of negotiating a trade agreement with the United States, and it is stated that the Shipping Board is investigating the possibility of direct shipments to America. One trans-Atlantic line is becoming increasingly keen on building refrigerated vessels for this purpose.
